Formerly Feral Flash
Our Formerly Feral Feline Mica Minnie Moo is in the process of learning to cuddle! She doesn't flail or fight it, but she's still a little unsure. She tolerates it for 5 or 10 minutes, then she's off! The first time or two, there was no purring, but the last time the mom could feel the slightest purr with her fingers. No loud purr like her normal one yet, but the mom hopes for it soon. She's also started leaning into her favorite scratches. Woo hoo! Its taken 16 months to get to this point. Let it never be said Mica Moo jumps into anything (except boxes)!
This is a really big step as MMM always leaves herself an escape route. What could be next? No slinking under furniture as the mom passes by? Bending over and scratching her? Sitting on the mom's lap? The sky's the limit!

That is exciting Mica Minnie Moo that you are almost sitting in a lap. That is really hard to do. Maggie won't do that yet either. We know you will soon trust the humans so that you can sit in their laps. You really are a pretty kitty. We love the color of your furs. Take care.
That is a terrific way to start the weekend!!! I hope your snuggles are many!
We are so pleased that MMM is beginning to enjoy a scritch or two and we hope she will enjoy tummy rubbies one day soon.

Aw, this is huge! Wonderful! Purrs for her continued progress. :-)
That's fantastic! We are so happy to hear Mica Minnie Moo is making such wonderful progress. Here's to many more snuggles. :)
Miss MMM!!! Do Not be deluded...the stew pot is never far away...

That's fantastic news!
Sending peace, love & purrs. We're also blogging for peace at my other blog the Boomer Muse http://blog.laylamorganwilde
It took a long time for Zoey not to run from our mom and dad. Now after 3 years, she is much better...not a cuddler but at least they can pet her now...and she will sit in dad's lap, but not mom's.
It sounds like MMM is making progress...as slow as it may be!
Mica Minnie Moo we are so glad you are overcoming your shyness and are emerging from your fear. Things will get better and better.

She's coming along a lot quicker that Cody has - he's almost 12, and Mom has only been able to pet him in the last six months or so. Once we moved, he went right back to hiding and not allowing touches. But Mom loves him anyway, and tries to make him happy anyway she can (as we know your mom does with Mica Minnie Moo)
