We are very honored to have won 2 awards this weekend! Unfortunately, this post is really long, so we will do the first one today, and the second one tomorrow.
The first was awarded from Penelope at Mewsings of Garden Cats to Mica Minnie Moo. Its the Illuminating Blogger Award. Mica Moo was so excited to get her very first award all to herself. She's the first kitty here to get her very own award. Sweet Penelope told an illuminating story of how she was deaf when born, but when she was several months old started to develop her hearing. They have the most beautiful gardens at their blog, and very pretty cats. Their mom has a real eye for beauty, and MMM thanks Penelope for thinking of her! They are dear old friends and we love them.
So MMM has to tell an illuminating story about herself. This happened last Friday morning and shows a positive way a kitty can influence the beans around them. The mom's alarm went off, and she decided to get up in a minute. Well, she fell back asleep and started dreaming.
She dreamed she was at a big, old house, and there were many people sitting around outside at picnic tables. She decided to go inside and was looking at branches with berries on them when she noticed a horrible smell which smelled like burning pumpkin. As she climbed the stairs to the veranda, there was a huge, half rotted pumpkin burning.
She went inside and two ladies were making pumpkin lasagna for a contest to see who could eat the most the fastest without breaking the long pumpkin strands. These two ladies were the two top competitors and they were showing the mom how to serve it without breaking the pumpkin fibers.
Then one of the ladies started singing a ballad in a baritone voice, complete with arm flourishes. The words were, "Come with me, Maria, and I'll make you salami tea." Then the mom woke up, looked at the clock and realized she should have gotten up 45 minutes ago.
She went into the bathroom, and MMM had graciously used the litter box without covering it up. That's where the smell came from, and the mom would have been late to work if she had gotten up any later. So, besides inspiring a funny dream, she did the mom a real favor. MMM uses this method of waking the mom on the weekends too when she wants to be fed.
So, now we have to pass this award onto 5 kitties. This is always the really hard part, because we would pass it on to so many kitties if we could.
Mica Minnie Moo picked:
Tutu at The Furries of Whisppy
Cody at Cat Chat with Caren & Cody
Spitty at Spitty Speaks
Moosey at Animal Shelter Volunteer Life
Leo at Celestial Kitties
We can't wait to hear their stories!

haha, great story! I always thought that when kittehs didn't cover their "business" they were just lazy. I had no idea it was to do the human a favor, MOL. Once, I thought my computer was catching on fire because I smelled the most gad-awful smell...found the source in the cat box!!!
Hahaha! That's very illuminating, MMM!
Thank you for passing the award to me...it's my FIRST award! And my very own award too!

Congratulations to a very resourceful and creative kitty!
Great job, and concatulations, Mica Minnie Moo! Moosey and Sammy have been known to utilize the unburied smell-o-vision alarm clock from time to time, too. But they want to know ... how'd you get yours to smell like burnt pumpkin? Now THAT'S talent! ;)
Thank you for passing the ward along to Moosey. We will have to think of an illuminating story of his to tell.
Hugs!
OMC how deeply we THANK YOU!!!!
That is so sweet of you but you know what?
I can't think of ANYTHING illuminating about us!!
I AM NOT KIDDING!!

Cody and I may not be able to blog about it for quite some time. We had an Uncle pass yesterday and my human sister is getting married this weekend, then we head off to BlogPaws, then I have yet ANOTHER lithotripsy in July...not sure when we can get to this but we will try!!
