The Scairty Cat

I think The Scairty Cat is a mythical being.  Every kitty I have ever met is brave and courageous.  We kitties understand better than anyone what Shakespeare meant when he wrote discretion is the better part of valor.  We are a very discrete species.

I fight mightily when going to the V.E.T.  The last time I hung upside down in the PTU trying to get away.  My beans have never fought so valiantly, and don't understand.   They just laughed and wished they had a flashy box.  {{eye roll}}

The mom thinks because I disappear under the bed when I hear bad kitty sounds, I am scairt of kitty fighting but it isn't so.  There are sounds which hurt my ears the mom can't hear, so I try to protect my hearing.  Not all of us are half deaf!

And bath time?  Yes, my mom is so evil, she occasionally gives us "flea" baths!  When faced with that kind of malicious behavior, of course I scream!  There just aren't words for the pernicious enormity of her behavior.

"Hiding" when strangers do strange things around our homes?  Hmph!  If someone is going to be abducted by aliens, let it be the beans first.  Maybe then they will learn!  We'll see who is UTB first next time weird stuff happens.

Those seem like reasonable explanations to us. We aren't scairty cats either!

I'd be hiding too if I had to have a flea bath. Good thing cold weather is coming.

Beautiful brave girl: I do confess it. *I*, Spitty-the-Kitty, AM a scairty cat. I fear the usual things (introodurs, loud noises, the PTU), but I also fear BOXES, BAGS, clothing on hangers, towels, and the thousand other things I can't think of right now. I hang my little kitty head in shame...It is *I* the Humans mean when they speak of Scairty Cats.

It's okay, really; it makes the rest of you look good.

Oui Oui, you are not scared - you are SMART! You fight the good fight on the way to the vet, and hide when there is danger afoot? To do anything else would be foolish!

I understand that these are all instinctual. LOL. Yes, there's no such thing as a scared kitty... only a smart enough one to escape from everything that is annoying (e.g. humans) ^_^

I cried and cried when Mommy gave me a bath. But not only did that not stop her, she used the awful noisy hot air blower on me and I sure showed her what I thought of that. I PEE'D!

Well we do not allow baths around here. We barely allow being picked up. Love that picture of you yelling about having a bath. Hope all of you have a super day. Take care.

My cats always keep out of the way when there is anything unusual going on. They say it's my job to investigate - I'm happy with that!

Oui Oui, darling, I had no IDEA you was a picky gourmet also! The Human still does not trust my new-found feeding frenzy. She keeps thinking that any day now I will return to my previous state. You know what? I don't THINK so! Nom nom nom.

oh you are so totally right. Fraidy Cat? HA. Let the humans have someone try the kinds of things on them that they do to us and see how it feels!
