Oct 1996 - Sept 2006
We are well into Fall, and so we are featuring our much beloved and much missed autumnal colored Minnie Pumpkin. She was such a sweetie and character. She loved to put her little punky paws all over the mom's face while she was being scratched. The mom misses her pulling her hair when it was time to get up for breakfast.
If she wanted attention, she sat up and waved with both paws.
(Julie picked up this habit.)
Naturally, she was interested in a good tummy rub.
She and Toby were best buds from the beginning. She didn't mind the size difference when she was a kitten, she was game.
When we brought her home, the mom called her mother and told her there was a new calico kitten. Years before the mom's mother had taken in an old crabulated calico and named her Minnie cause the mom's grannie always called all kitties Minnie (after Minnie the Moocher) no matter what their real name was. The mom laughed and told her the kitten's name was Minnie Pumpkin.
That started the family tradition of all calicos and torties having "Minnie" as part of their name.
The Girl was a mere kitten herself way back then!
The current MeezerTortie, Mica Minnie Moo.
And everyone enjoy your weekend.
