Offline For a Couple Days
Kitties, we are going to be taking a short break. Someone locked the gate where the feral cats the mom has been taking care of live. She walked around the fence and found a way back to the cats. It involved a tricky embankment, brambles, vines and broken bottles. Then she lost her footing, and fell on a rock.
This is the result. (The sheets were washed and we were going to help the mom make the bed after she was back from visiting the ferals. That didn't happen for obvious reasons.)

Holy CRAP. Paula, are you OK? Ice that and keep it elevated...and go to Urgent Care if you have any numbness AT ALL. I'll get the cats revved up and on a purring roster for you!

That looks so painful and your Mom's leg is very swollen too. We are sending our best purrs to her. If the skin is broken anywhere she ought to have a tetanus jab.

Oh noooo! So sorry for your mom. Here she was doing such a good deed by feeding the ferals and takes a fall instead. I'm purring for your mom to get well really quick. M says to put lots of ice on it - it will help take the swelling down, and hopefully she didn't do any permanent damage to it.
