SPRING IS PEEPING!

We look forward to the first night we hear the Spring Peepers calling by the little brook behind our house.  They were heard for the first time last week.  A true sign of spring!  For such little guys, they sure are loud!  Of course there is strength in numbers, and it sounds like there's thousands back there.  We think they are adorable.  We found some photos of them for our overseas friends who may not know what Spring Peepers are.

Another sign of spring?

YES!  Its the Crab & Mallet Cat Show!  The mom wishes she had saved the pix she took at last year's show, but she had no thoughts of blogging then.  There's lots of beautiful show cats, and many friendly ambassador cats to pet and love.  Best of all is the logo of a crusty, stogie smoking crustacean!  If you're in the area, its this coming weekend.  We included the link for you.

Wow! Those peepers are tiny! Hope they are fast and smart and don't get stepped on.
We still have snow and cold.
You are lucky.
Send some peepers and some nice weather this way!

We haven't heard any spring peepers yet. I think we have them around our pond. Have a great week.

How cute! I'm not a fan of frogs, normally, but these ones are so tiny and sweet. It's wonderful that they are the harbingers of sPURRing!

Those peepers are tiny! Not even as big as a grasshopper. We have never heard of or seen them before.

Those peepers are so TINY! In the desert we have enormous Spade Toads that sound like somebody is strangling a sheep; and they are LOUD. Especially after it rains and thousands of them come out of their burrows.

Wow - those Spring Peepers are cute little guys. They remind M of the little green tree frogs they had in Florida when she lived there.
