Remember Me Thursday

Today is a day of remembrance. Although its good to remember all the unfortunate animals who never had the chance to find a home and become someone's beloved pet, what a sad day it is!

Here's to those whose time ran out before they were adopted, whose mother died before they were weaned, to those who grew up and died lonely and unloved on the streets.  A staggering 3.4 million animals are put to sleep in the US alone each year.  What a waste of life!  Think of the sweet personalities lost!  If ever there was a reason to adopt a rescue, or neuter your pets, this is it.

If you would like to light a candle in sympathy and support, please click here.  You can even leave a personal message.

There isn't a day we don't think of these animals and their plight wrings our hearts.  Our wish for the future is, one day, there won't be a need to remember them.

It's so very sad. We hope that we are making steps so that one day we won't have to have this kind of rememberance. Until then, we remember and honor all of them.

It sure is so sad and we must remember them all. We have had many leave around here. But hope they all had a good life while here. Take card.

It's very, very sad. I wish more people felt this way and wouldn't abandon their pets and get them spayed/neutered. It's just heartbreaking.

We know so many who work so tirelessly to get as many animals adopted as possible. It is sad, and such a waste. It breaks my heart to see any homeless animal. One day when my heart has healed more, I will adopt again. I just am not ready right now, but I will be one day. #Lightforpets

Rescue, no kill shelters, ADOPTION, spay, neuter, these words are very dear to Mommy's heart.
I am a rescued cat. I was in a lovely no kill shelter until I found and adopted Mommy. And they did have me spayed there. Dear Angel brandi was another rescued kitty!
Mommy wishes more peoples would fall in love with adoptable kitties (or those not so "adoptable") and give them homes filled with love.

We lit our on-line virtual candle. Mommy doesn't allow real candles in the house anymore due to some clothing and furs that have been ignited in the past. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

It is very sad and difficult to know that there is only so much that we can do. But even a little helps.
