I'm OK

It will be a couple weeks before I perch here again.

Thank you everyone for all your purrs and kind words.  I am feeling a little better, but it is going to take some time before I am back to my old self again.

I started limping and sitting funny a couple days before the mom left for Blogpaws.  Although she knew The Girl would take good care of me, she really wanted to make sure there was nothing seriously the matter.  She really worried when I didn't hang out in my usual spots.  I was unsteady on my feet and stumbled about, and all she could think of was sweet Angel Minnie Pumpkin who went into acute kidney failure and how she stumbled about too.

The vet tested my leg in various ways and said I either pulled a muscle or maybe a ligament.  He wanted me to go for more testing but there just wasn't time before the mom had to leave.  Was I ever thankful!  Not more vets!  One is bad enough!

So here I am in a small confined space.  No jumping up or down and lots of rest. Do you see how I sit with my driver's side rear leg out?  That's because it's the hurt one.

The view is pretty much the same in this direction too.  The mom put my favorite kitty cube and towel in the bathroom with me.  And I have a couple of toys, but I am to rest, not play.

The Girl gave me massages and hot compresses.  She said she could feel my muscle in spasms and her massages really helped.  You might remember she usually massages horses, but she did a super good job and now I am not limping so much.

If you follow me over here . . .

. . . there is my potty box.  I even used it to show you it works.

That's it!  I would have rather been in a bedroom, which is where kitties are usually isolated but I am tempted to jump on beds, even though the mom built me a ramp.  I just don't think to use it!  But the mom visits me and I get to purr and sleep beside her when she can supervise me.  I take my anti-inflammatory though I don't like it.  It might take a couple weeks, but I should be just fine!

I hope you heal fast. Strains are painful :( Glad it's nothing more serious :)

Good news that it's nothing more serious than a pulled muscle. Hope you get better soon and are allowed to roam and jump.

Oh Julie, we are so glad that your injury is nothing TOO serious. It sounds like your mommy is doing a perfect job taking care of you. Keep off your leg and continue resting so you heal faster! The faster you heal, the sooner you can come out of confinement!!! Sending you lots of hugs and purrs.
