Thankful Thursday

Our mom did a bunch of baking for the holidays, and she even thought of us!  We left a plate of cookies out for Santa Paws, who must have loved them cause they were all gone in the morning!   Unless MMM jumped up and  . . .  But most of the kitty cookies went to a fundraiser for our local TNR.

There's Tuna & Nip cookies shaped to look like human peanut butter cookies, Cheese cookies, cut out in turkey shapes and Bacon Rats!  The Tuna Nip cookies were the hands down favorite, with Oui Oui being the only one who wouldn't eat any.  The rest of us thankfully gobbled them down.

At the fundraiser, the mom bought us some lovely kitty grass.

While Oui Oui might not have cared for the cookies, she sure loved the kitty grass.  Here it is about a week after we got it.

And here it is about a week after that.

Now it's a pitiful sight!  None of the other kitties seem to bother with it, but it doesn't get lonely cause Oui Oui keeps it company.  So Oui Oui is thankful she had some holiday noms too.

The mom got the planter when they were going through some of her mom's things after she died, so she is very thankful to have it.

A closer view - its so pretty!

All the cookie recipes were very easy.  With just a few ingredients, they only took minutes to make (plus a little longer to bake).  If anyone is interested in the recipes, leave a comment with an address and the mom will email them to you.   None of the original recipes called for rolling and cutting out the cookies.  The mom just wanted to use her mini cookie cutters!  Plus, they were for sale and needed to look nice.

I think the rat cookies are cute! And the flower pot is beautiful. How special that you get to remember grandma and eat cat grass from a pot with a bird on it.

We have never seen a rat-shaped cookie cutter, but we think it's a great idea to make kitty cookies with it!

Those cookies look very tasty!!

The mom won't let us have cat grass anymore because we just pull it out of the planter, dirt and all, and make a big mess. Isn't that what we're supposed to do??
