Water Woes

While we are speaking of secrets and things we have done since we were kittens, I confess I like to sit on the sides of the water bowls.  I started bowl tipping as a wee one.  I tipped bowls over several times a day, I could even tip over ones that are "tipless".  At first, it was a mystery how all the bowls were being spilled.  Then I got caught!  The mom saw me in the act of sitting on the edge of the bowl and knocking it over.  She saw me do it a couple times in fact, so there was no doubt.  Of course, I was too cute to yell at, so she started buying bigger & better bowls.  Finally the mom bought a water cooler type water bowl, and that cured me.  Try as I might, I couldn't tip it!  I even tried sitting on top of it.  **sigh**  Finally I gave up!  Another pastime down the drain!  Moms can be such kill joys!

I finally met my match!
(See what messy eaters we are!
We get stinky stuff but dry food is out all the time.)

P.S.  The mom is still mystified how I managed to tip the tipless bowls.  Hee, hee, hee.

Love the water cooler! I would have loved to see you in action tipping bowls, but I think I'm glad I wouldnt have to be the one to clean it up!

You are quite the magician to tip those tipless water bowls. Well done. Hope all of you have one heck of a day.

Good one, Mom! I don't have bowl-tippers, but I sure have to watch out if I have a glass of water anywhere. Dylan likes to put his paw in it and deliberately tip it over. I wonder what this PURRticular fascination is all about, because once they tip it, there's nothing left to drink.

And your feeding area looks just like mine. Cats are messy eaters. They need a lesson in floor manners, I think.

That was not fair to spoil your water tipping fun. I don't tip bowls but I like to scrape all the water out. The drinking fountain is most fun because there is a lot of water in it to scrape out.

Don't despair, there's still fun to be had with that type of bowl! If you give 'em some firm headbutts in the reservoir they gurgle delightfully, and if you KEEP headbutting they'll eventually overflow. Good times.

Odin used to be a water tipper until we used a very large, heavy glass bowl. That did the trick but yours is more practical. He still is a water dipper and splasher and you guessed it, on the naughty list!

That water cooler is great! Moosey was a bowl tipper when he was at the shelter, but he's been okay since coming to his forever home. He is still pretty obsessed with water, but gets his "fix" via the faucets and bathtub spigot. :)
