Glad To Be Back

We all missed the sun puddles last week.

Oh.  My.  Cod.  Did you hear the mom whining last week?  How could you NOT?  "Its so hot!"  "I feel so gross!"  "I can't sleep!"

We kitties didn't mind not having "AC" or lectrivity.  And we are the ones with the permanent fur coats.  True, we saw a lot of Carl's belly, but really!  We were ready to snuggle and get our scratches as usual.  And what was up with hiding all my sun puddles?  We tried to show her how to live with the hots with dignity, but she ignored it.

Carl stayed cool by airing his belly.

The mom forgot a sun puddle one day and it was so lovely to sleep in it.  You should have heard it!  "Oui Oui, ewww!  You're so hot!"

A nap in the sun after hard work shredding cardboard.

Thank goodness for all our sakes the mom has her cold air back.  Our ears couldn't take much more!

I can relate. Jen takes me outside mid-day and after a leisurely stroll I lay down in the middle of the yard, taking in the sun. Jen gives me the stink eye after a few minutes and makes me come back in. *sigh*

Well, this just goes to show you that us cats are much more tougher than the humans.

We hear ya! Humans are SO unable to cope with the littlest of things, aren't they? For the sake of your ears, we sure are glad your power (and AC) are back on! :)

Hugs to you all.

Peeps are so lame and wimpy! If they would only be sensible and show their tummies like Carl they'd be a lot less grouchy.

MOL, well Kitties, we feel sorry for your mom because we hate the hots too! How you kitties can sleep in hot sun puddles when its half a gazillion degrees out is beyond me!
Excuse me though... Carl.. I need to snorgle that black belly!!!!

But we are happy for her. I love my cool air!!
We missed you.

Carl your belly is totally snorgle-icious!!!

Oh you poor, poor poor hot darlings! We HATE the hots here, so it's a good thing we live in a climate where the average summer temp is about 65! You kitties sound as though you handled all this inconvenience with great aplomb while the Humans whined and whined. Figures.
Glad you're back! XOXOXO

You would think our Mommy would be used to the hots here but nooooooo. She'll be under the fan or ac and whining her heart out about how hot and sweaty she is...
We're so happy for you kids that your Mom's cold air is back. Oh, and happy for your Mom too. Heh heh.

I'm glad you're back! I have a theory that cats are part lizard - I have based this on observing how my cats behave!

Fuzzy Tales said...

LOL! Humans really don't have the stamina we do, they're so weak. Angel Annie used to lie upstairs in the sunpuddles, too, on the hottest days of the summer. The human thought she was nuts, which shows how little the human understands felines!

Anyway, we're glad you've got your ac back, at least so your mom can stop whining now!

Actually, I just learned something this weekend that explains why your kitties weathered the hots better than you, Mom.

Apparently, their fur insulates against both cold weather and hot!!! This explains why my Dante's fur coat has gone into overdrive.

Since that's hard to beat, maybe you should buy yourself a faux fur and join them!

By the way, I just wanted to thank you again for leading the way on the avatars. As you know, I have become somewhat obsessed with them. The part I like best is customizing. Although I don't fancy myself an artist, I do have a keen eye for details.

I fear, though, by the time I'm finished with them, they're not actually avatars anymore.

The lack of fur seems to make it really hard for humans to regulate their body temperature. Very odd, actually!

Glad you have your cold air and sun puddles back!
