Happy Fourth of July!

Day Five: No power. Again.
The kitties have been enjoying all the window whiffing when the windows are opened in the evenings. Oui Oui runs from one window to the another looking for the best spot. MMM is also spending a lot of time in the windows. Carl spends most of his time on his back with his legs in the air, airing out his belly. Julie still wants to snuggle at night. Augh! She mustn't know how hot all her furs are! She isn't fooled by sticking a pillow between her and the mom, and inches her way around it.
Unbelievably, Oui Oui still looks for sun puddles to bake in (the drapes are all closed during the day).
The power company first said the power should be on late Thursday. Then they changed the recording, saying it could be into the weekend. So, we still aren't sure when we will be back. We are praying for Thursday because the coolest prediction is for 97, and Saturday's forecast is 101.
Things are a little better for the mom. Her brother finally has power and her parents just got power this afternoon. So she can at least crash somewhere cool. And charge some of her electronics. Not to mention saying hi to all our lovely furriends!
Thanks for all the kind words and thoughts! It helps make the situation bearable, and warms our hearts. MOL!

You kitties have been without power for a long time! Sun puddles are nice, but it sounds like it is getting way too hot to enjoy them! Paws crossed that this gets fixed soon.
Gosh, that is such a pain to be without power especially that long. Hope you get it back on really really soon. Try to stay cool. Sending lots of purrs for that darn power to get going. Take care.
Wow, you don't realize how important electricity is until you don't have it! We purr that yours gets restored real soon. Hey, Oui Oui, don't bake yourself, silly! Stay cool!
No power yet??? Man, that's shades of our blackout, one August some years ago. Early 2000s? Can't recall.
Purring for everyone to stay as cool as possible. It's 102F here with our humidex factor, but we at least have fans.
Oh no, how horrible. We sure hope your power is restored soon, dear friends.
Oui Oui ... don't overdo it, okay?
We're glad to see your update. It sounds a lot like the aftermath of our hurricane season, but we at least get more warning before it happens. I hope you get power (and air conditioning) soon. Stay as cool as you can.
Oui Oui
We have been so worried about you, and looking for your post and when we hadn't seen one we sadly felt that you were still without power.
Mom knows how bad that is, well not with this sweltering heat, but one year when she was a child a hurricane came through and we were without power for 2 weeks. WE do hope your power is restored sooner rather than later and that your Mom can stay with her Mom...keeping your in our purrs.

Did you say "warms our hearts?" That's a pun, right? Sounds like you are plenty warm enough - and then some - already.
We hope you get some electricity soon! It's horrible thinking of so many without it during this heat wave.
As long as we warm your hearts we should also send cool breezes and hopes for your power to be fixed. We are at 100 plus today! And we don't want to send it your way!
We sure hope you get power soon. We were without power for 9 days after Hurricane Frances! Stay cool and Happy 4th of July!
The Florida Furkids and Lexi
We are purring for a cold front to roll through soon, and for the juice to get restored ASAP! KonaKitty says all the heat sounds like heaven...she's a bit tetched.
Happy 4th of July!!! xo
Still no powers? That's awful! Really and truly awful!!! I know it's not much, but I'll send some purrs your way, okay? Some extra-strength ones 'cause I think you're probably needing extra-strength. Take care. purrs
Holy cow, still without power?!? That is terrible, we hope it will be fixed soon...stay cool kids :-)
PS - Happy 4ty of July!!!
How awful to still NOT have power! Please please let the power be restored really soon!
praying the works work swiftly and safely and you get your power back pronto!
if you lived by me I would tell you to pack your bags and come on over!!! You could stay with us til your power comes back. Hope it is back soon!
I don't know how you're doing it... we lost power for four hours on Monday and we could barely stand it! We hope hope hope you get it back really quick!
In the meantime, enjoy the whiffies!
This was a super bad storm purring for a full restoration of power. Summertime is no time for outage as a few years back a few days was really hard to take.
