Finally! Our first bloom.
Last week we were scraping frost from the car and wearing winter coats. Today it was close to 90 degrees (about 32 C)!
Double, or maybe quadruple, daffodils.
We don't often post flower pictures cause our mom is very inventive when it comes to killing plants. You might remember last spring when she saw several caterpillars on a plant and she sprayed the plant with Deep Woods OFF!. The plant was dead within 4 days.
The mom started a garden last year in the trench the plumber dug when replacing the waterline to the house, so these are some pictures of the first plants to survive her.
Miniature daffodils.
The last plants the mom's mom gave her
before she died.

can guarantee my human's thumb is blacker than your human's - the only way a plant can make it around here is for her to completely have nothing to do with it.
Very beautiful~!!!
Glad the spring season is coming.
Well, they survived beautifully! Our Mommy loves those quadruple daffodils!
That is a pretty flower. :)
Those are lovely flowers. Maybe your Mom's luck is turning?
That's quite the jump in temperature!
Purrs,

Those are some cheerful looking blooms!
Our garden is looking pathetic because Mommy's unwilling to sit in the sauna to tend to our plants. :(
We like daffodils as they are the start of warmer weather. Could you spare us a few of your degrees as it's still quite chilly here.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Good heavens, from freezing to 90F is crazy weather. We'll take somewhere in the middle. LOL. Today we're bracing for freezing rain, snow and ice pellets. OMC, our winter never will end!!!!
Love, love to see spring flowers--so glad someone has them!
Wow 90F, could you bottle some of that up and push it up here please.
Those sure are pretty! We are so happy to see Spring, except for the potential tornados in our area late tonight, yikes!

Wow, your weather is crazier than ours! Your flowers are so pretty! Great job!
The daffodils are lovely! They're a real sign of Spring.
You babies stay away from them though...might be poisonous. How is Carl? I miss him.
Well, no matter how long they last, those flowers sure are pretty! :)
The weather has been crazy! The dad had a tough time getting home from L.A. last night -- the plane had to take a southerly route, and was in the air for more than seven hours!
Very lovely flowers. One week ago today we were being bombarded in snow. Yesterday we broke the old temp record of 88 degrees. It was 90 and the daffodils are shriveling up. They do not like this hot weather. There was a lot of MOL activity here when we read about the Deep Woods Off! Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
YAY , for springflowers !
Here we are still waiting for warmer weather.
XOXO
We like seeing your flowers since we STILL don't have any! It was only 40 degrees today...and rainy...yuck.
Lovely flowers!
My human would love to grow a little garden but she is too lazy for that!
Purrs
yay to your Mom and her wunnerful daffy-daffs! verrah pretteh. Mrs. W. is the woman to talk to as she spends most of her times in the yard planting delishous greeny greens for me to nom. which i only do when i can't find a mole, which is not all that often, ackshully. anyway, any garden and/or mole-hunting questions you guys may have, we are the experts.
Very purrty! Our Dad has a brown thumb too!
your flowers are just beautiful!
Yea!!! it'z daffodil & stinkbug time!! ^.,^
♥♥♥xoxoxo Kissiez to All ~
oh those are beautiful! 90's?? MOWZERS! We're in the 70's here - not quite as warm but nice enough for open windows - YAY!
My Human has one (ONE) houseplant that--so far--has resisted her efforts to kill it. It's pretty big, but every now and then it loses whole swaths of leaves and branches, but so far that has not been the death of it. I don't have too much hope though.
These flowers are BEEYOOTIFUL. She should take that as a sign that her black thumbs are taking on a greenish hue.
Congrats on your first blooms ;-)
Purrty! We're glad Spring is finally on the way!
