HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We are interrupting the regularly scheduled, scintillating post to wish everyone a Happy New Year!  We hope everyone has a glorious, prosperous New Year filled with love and joy.  We are thankful for so many things, especially our new blogger friends whom we met this year, and are excited to be starting a new chapter.  Thank you for sharing it with us, dear friends!  Have a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve!  Wishing you all the best!

Here's a hint from yesterday's post:

See!  Some things NEVER change!  It may be a New Year, but its still Mom's crappy photography!!!  Will that woman EVER use her camera instead of her cell phone to take pictures??  And you'd think she'd turn on a few lights if its still dark outside!  We won't even start on her typing skills.....Still, we'll keep her.  She feeds us well, plays with us and cares for us.  Most importantly, she's warm and snuggly at night.  Happy New Year!

UH OH!

UH OH!  Look what showed up!  BETTER RUN UNDER THE BED!!!  AND DON'T COME OUT!!!  We hope NO ONE is going to have an unpleasant day tomorrow, but usually this is a sign of nastiness to come.  Our prediction is some unfortunate soul (feline, human or both) is going to end the year with a whimper!

Inappropriate Santa!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Santa brought us lots of new toys and snacks.  Our favs were a catnip stogie and a catnip stick of dynamite! Really Santa!  How politically correct!

Carl and the Stogie

Oui couldn't decide which to play with first!

A good time was had by all!

We hope everyone had a fun time during the holidays and received many fine gifts like us!  Especially, we hope you enjoyed the best gift of all, the gift of family.

AN AWARD AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We are thrilled to say the sweet, lovely ladies, Hannah and Lucy awarded us the Liebster Award!  Liebster is German for beloved or lovely.  We think so much of our witty, roof climbing friends and their beautiful blog, it is such an honor to receive it from them!  Thank you, ladies!  That's a nice early Christmas gift.

The rules of the award are:
1 - Link back to the blogger who gave you the award
2 - Put the award on your blog
3 - Choose 5 other blogs with less than 200 followers to pass the award on to
4 - Let those bloggers know by leaving a comment on their blog

It was such a difficult decision.  There are so many deserving blogs and we have so many good friends out there.  The Mom wanted to encourage new bloggers, of which we count ourselves, or bloggers with just a few followers.  We remember the days when we were excited to get 1 comment!  (Some days it still feels that way!)  So we picked The Purr Diaries, Connie, Kjelle Bus and Kizzie Cat.  We also picked All About Lacocoon Dante cause he is about the most beautiful cat in the world and he makes our knees weak!

Bah Humbug!  This is the only way I would even look at the camera with this goofy hat on!

We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah.  May all your holidays be bright and cheerful, filled with love and happiness!

Wishing you all that's good,
The Twinkletoe Tails Gang and Mom

DEAR SANTA PAWS

Dear Santa Paws,

I am the one who bit the Girl for giving me a bath then combing me with the hated undercoat comb.  I couldn't help it, I just hate bathing and combing so much. Someone scratched her too, but I don't think it was me. Of course, it could have been...

For Christmas you could bring me some interesting things to pee on.  I enjoy experimenting and trying new things out.  Just leave the stuff on the floor and I'll find it.  Also, it would be nice if I could find a friend to sing Arias with.  Maybe a Karaoke machine would be fun too.  If you could bring jobs to everyone who needs one, and peace to the hearts of those in turmoil, I think many would be happy enough to sing with me.

An elf left some Temptations out, and let me tell you, they were excellent!  I left some for you.

Purrs and Merry Christmas,

Carlos

DEAR SANTY CLAWS

Dear Santy Claws,

Being Formerly Feral, this is all a little new to me.  I tried to be good this year.  I played with Oui Oui, and I'm learning to snuggle and be petted by the mom.

I try to get along with Carl, but he smells funny and I don't like him.  I keep checking, but every time I do, he smells the same.  Yucky.  I can't help going up to him and hissing.  Julie tries to kill me from under the door every night, so I try to kill her back.  Its almost like playing "pitty paws" under the door except we try to inflict bodily harm.  Neither of us has been hurt, so I think I can say I've been good.

You can bring me whatever you want.  I have everything I need, I haven't forgotten the cold, hungry days Out There.  Now that I'm inside, I haven't tried once to go out the door.  My only wish is for every kitty to have a good home with lots of good foods.

I left some Temptations out for you since Julie ate most of the Beachside Crunch.

Purrs,
Mica Minnie Moo

DEAR SANDY CLAWS

Dear Sandy Claws,

I know you know what a good girl I have been this year!  Unlike other years and other kitties, I didn't bite anybody!  I didn't send anyone to the hospital for even one day this year either.  That's how good I've been.  I didn't chase, scratch or bite Mica Moo once.  I did try to kill her from under the door every night, but I don't think that counts cause I never actually touched her.  I stared at her hard when I saw her, but the Mom is so careful around us that I hardly ever saw her.  My staring didn't hurt her, so I don't think that should count either.

You probably heard me hissing most nights at Carl and Oui Oui when they came too close to me, but I only hissed and hardly ever whapped anyone - so, no harm done!  And I'm sure you noticed how nicely I purred and snuggled with my Mommy, and how nice and clean I kept my furs.  I didn't mind when mommy cleaned my eye boogers.

You could bring me some foods and snacks.  I'm not too fussy, I like them all.  Nip is always good too.  Maybe you could find new homes for Carl, Oui Oui and especially Mica Moo.  That would be my top wish.  For the poor kitties in the world, maybe you can find them mommies to purr with like my mommy.  But not my mommy - she's taken.  Carl, Oui & Mica Moo could all use new mommies too.  That would make me very happy!

I hope you don't mind I ate most of the Beachside Crunch Oui left out for you.  I didn't touch the water, so that's nice and clean.  And I left some milk out for you after I sampled it to make sure it was good.  It is.

Purrs and no hisses,
Julie

P.S.  My claws get sandy when I leave the littler box too.  Maybe my nickname could be Julie Sandy Claws.

DEAR SANTY PAWS

Dear Santy Paws,

I have been a really good girl this year.  I didn't bite or claw any body at all, and I got along with all the kitties in the house.  When I had my flea bath, I only hollered really loudly the whole time.  I let Vultures I and II steal my foods then played and snuggled with them.  I play with the Girl and mom, sit in their laps and purr with them at night.  So I hope you will bring me some good presents this year.  Here is my list:

C - Lots of fishy pate kitty foods, no gravy or shreds
? - More kitty friends to play with
8 - Any kind of nip toys
* - Please stop Mica Moo from stealing my sleeping spots when I'm still using them
d - Please bring lots of foods (fishy pates) and a warm home to all the kitties with no home of their own.

Thank you, Santy Paws.  I hope you enjoy the water and Beachside Crunch I left out for you.

Head bumps and purrs,
Oui Oui

FORMERLY FERAL FRIDAY

Here I am on Oui's post (the blog and the scratching post!), and I'm celebrating a milestone!  The mom can walk past and scratch me now when I'm on the post.  I still squeak and act a little startled, but I don't run away any more.  The mom is still hoping and dreaming of the day she can reach down and pet me.  Well, dream on!  Where would any of us be without hope?

White Wednesday

Ok, so everyone else hid in this box.  I just don't understand why they think its such a great hiding place.  Everyone knew I was in there, and I couldn't spy on anyone.

I'm heading out.  This box is way overrated!  There are better napping places, like my special pillow.

Boxed In!

We girls found the box first, that Carl is SUCH a copycat!

We don't blend in quite as well as he does, but its still good for spying.

Its a great hideaway!
There's crinkle paper at the bottom and we've stored some toys down there.
I'm willing to bet the mom can't get pictures of Mica Moo in here!

MANCAT MONDAY - BOXED!

Shhhh...... here I am, spying and being quiet.

Will anyone notice me?  I am dark like the inside of the box.

I don't think anyone will notice a box looking at them!

The mom regrets very much to say she will probably not have much time for blogging and commenting until after the holidays.  She has been trying hard to keep up with it, but she is now working at her second job Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 6 pm until 11 or midnight & all day on Saturday.  She hasn't been able to get anything done for Christmas.  She is going to post and comment when she can, and she will read everyone's blogs.  We are sorry she has to do this, so we might have to be extra cute to tempt her to stay up even later to share it with you!

Water Woes

While we are speaking of secrets and things we have done since we were kittens, I confess I like to sit on the sides of the water bowls.  I started bowl tipping as a wee one.  I tipped bowls over several times a day, I could even tip over ones that are "tipless".  At first, it was a mystery how all the bowls were being spilled.  Then I got caught!  The mom saw me in the act of sitting on the edge of the bowl and knocking it over.  She saw me do it a couple times in fact, so there was no doubt.  Of course, I was too cute to yell at, so she started buying bigger & better bowls.  Finally the mom bought a water cooler type water bowl, and that cured me.  Try as I might, I couldn't tip it!  I even tried sitting on top of it.  **sigh**  Finally I gave up!  Another pastime down the drain!  Moms can be such kill joys!

I finally met my match!
(See what messy eaters we are!
We get stinky stuff but dry food is out all the time.)

P.S.  The mom is still mystified how I managed to tip the tipless bowls.  Hee, hee, hee.

Running Secrets #2

Shhhh.... this is REALLY private & just between you and me!

Ok kitties, a couple days ago, I told you about my first running secret where I just move my legs and feet a whole lot faster to run.  This next running secret is rather personal and a little embarrassing. *** whispers *** I like to run after I used the litter box, if you know what I mean.  It just feels sooo good to you-know-what, that I run around the house like my tails on fire afterwards!  I can't help it!  I've done it since I was a teeny kitten!  The beans call it "The Poopy Run".  My people laugh at me, then the mom goes & scoops the litter box.  Since Mica Minnie Moo joined the household, it will lead to a rousing game of THoE.  But is it all THAT weird?  I hope not!
