MMM's Kitty Art Korner

Mica Minnie Moo is a kitty sculptress who loves to express herself directly after breakfast.  Here are a few of her more recent works.

This is one of the most complicated pieces I've done.
Very clean lines and nicely balanced color.

I like how I bent the squid's legs over its body.
See Oui Oui's toes?  She's SUCH a busy body!
And NOT part of the sculpture.

Whereas some pieces are light and airy like the first photo,
this is tight and cramped, almost urban in feeling.

The austere whiteness of the cup, the brilliant color causes an interesting tension.
What is the meaning of the bits of left over food?

I learned don't use your mom's lunch as part of your art!
Especially when she's "running late" - whatever that is!
She was not amused when I chewed a hole in the bag and ate her lunch.
Personally, I felt it was liberating to try a new concept.

Another study in contrasts.
I like the counter balance of the starkness vs the lively color.

 Hee, hee!  An artistic joke!

Very thought provoking.
Is the food so horrid it needs to be hidden from the light of day, or
it is just being saved to be savored at a later moment?
The viewer gets to decide.

MMM had an art show late last summer, and she's about due for another soon.  She hopes you enjoyed her little preview at her studio.

She's a born artist! Glogirly once saw a special exhibit of Rauschenberg's 'art' at the Guggenheim in NYC. Although their styles are similar, she thinks that MMM's works are WAY more introspective and moving.

I love your art, MMM! ESPECIALLY the one with your human's art! If she did not like it, it just shows that her artistic taste is crude and undeveloped.

That is so artistic Minnie Mica. Our Little Bit likes to cover up all the dishes around here too. But yours is very colorful.Well done.

We think there should be a display of dish decorations - we often see a mouse or two that have been pawed in a very artistic way.

We so impressed with MMM' art. What she did with the human's lunch is nothing short of genius!

Mica Minnie Moo, your work is amazing! We especially applaud the risks you took in using your mom's lunch as art. And as far as eating is concerned, we are sure you were hungry, right? After all, being creative is hard work! :)

Thanks for your comment on our Wordless Wednesday post, dear friends, and for your very generous offer to do a PAWS-focused commentathon to help celebrate Oui Oui's birthday! We are so grateful for your ongoing friendship, and deeply touched that you would even consider incorporating us into the celebration of such a special day. :)

Is there anything you need from us?

Big thanks, and even bigger hugs and nosetaps!

Allie: *squee!* Oh my! I know an artist, a real live creative artistic genius! You're just sooo inspiring! I must try stretching myself creatively as well. (whispers, Ryker used to Feng Shui his barfisodes, but that's just not my medium of choice, you know?)
