TABBY TUESDAY

Over the weekend the dreaded PTU came out, and guess who the victim was?  Yes, me!  Of course, at first I was sweet and unsuspecting, but when I figured out the mom's nefarious plan I fought like a wild cat!  The vishus VET may poke at my eye and terrorize me, but I left my marks on the mom!  She's is now sporting a scratch on her leg, three of them on her arm and a couple puncture marks on her shoulder for good measure.  She was glad I only have 4 paws with claws.  I'm very good at turning into Velcro Kitty.  Guess you should have clipped my nails first, evil one.

I look calm here because this is a picture from a different visit to the VETS.
I fought so hard I was actually hanging upside down by my claws from the top of the PTU!

I was going in for a recheck for the damage I did to my cornea.
Thankfully I don't need any more drops or trips to the VETS.
I might have a very small scarred area in the corner of my eye,
but that's it!

All that struggling wiped me out!
You were going to wash these blankies?
Well, I think it will just have to wait a little bit.

On the bright side, we will be celebrating a couple birthdays later this week!  I can't wait!

I'm super glad to hear that your eye is pretty much all better. That's good news, for sure. But I have got to ask... I know that PTU refers to those horrible carriers our peeps and parents use to transport us to icky places like doctors' offices but... can someone please tell me what the letters P, T & U stand for? I'm a cat so you know I'm gonna be curious! purrs

HORRORS!!!

We had an incident with the PTU that was much more...appetizing. Come see our post!

Oh you poor darling girl! That is a most distressing story, and I think that to help you recover, you need, well, quite a few treats and some special alone time with your Mom (once you've forgiven her, of course). And you know, since those blankies are headed to the wash anyway, nothing wrong at all with perhaps taking a tiny little ladylike pee on one, just to punctuate your displeasure.

Hey, great news about your eye, though!

I'm glad your eye is better, Oui Oui!

We don't struggle with the PTUs... mostly because my human is so sneaky we don't know we are being put in them until it is too late!

Thank goodness your eye is OK now - we don't know why we have to keep visiting those evil torturers. We will remember the hanging upside down in the PTU trick and try that out next time Mum decides to give us a ride in the car!

Oui Oui, we're proud of you that you didn't go to the v-e-t without putting up a fight! You can't let them think you're a wimp.

Good to hear that your eye is OK, Oui Oui. Surely the vet can't be all that bad. Whose birthday?

Oh Dear, that does sound a bit traumatic although we couldn't stop a little smile when we read about you hanging upside down by your claws...

Glad the outcome was OK< though.

What a terrible ordeal for you and your Mommy! But we are so glad your eye is okay now though your Mommy might need some medicine for her wounds...

Oui Oui, we're so sorry.

Princeton did the same thing to his eye months and months ago.

I think you make it harder on yourself when you struggle like that, Oui Oui! All that stress for nothing. The vet didn't even do anything except look at you.

Maybe you'd like to rethink your strategy for next time.

We are all purrin with happiness that your eye is healed and you are doing better (especially since you're home and away from the dreaded V-E-T).

You do not like that PTU.

That was quite the workout you gave Mom getting into the PTU, but now those trips are done for a while with your eye healed.

We are glad your eye is getting better. I don't like the PTU either. I go in a lot better than I come out. Dad tips it up vertical and mum tries to get me out. I wedge all my feet and my head against the sides so it is like a tug of war.

Oui Oui, we are sure glad to hear that everything checked out with your eye. Good job on showing the Mom that you did not appreciate being taken to the v-e-t, too.

Bet your Mom really really hopes so too!
