Double Trouble II

So, here's how we hoodwinked the mom.

I started removing my eyebrows (and some butt furs too) earlier this year.  Being part meezer, I'm a little high strung and haven't really gotten over being feral.  Things bother me.  Like Carl and Julie.  I can't relax, and am always on my guard.  Last winter my eyebrows started to grow back after getting a shot and some meds, but this time around it didn't work.

Moo with eyebrows removed.

The nice lady Marg suggested calming treats to our mom saying they worked for one of her cats.  Yay!  Treats AND no trips to the VET, it s win-win solution.  Almost.

The mom ordered 2 bags and started giving me a treat twice a day, or so she thought.  I sniffed and licked them.  The mom walked away, then Oui Oui ran in and ate the treats!  The mom didn't get suspicious when she saw Oui Oui licking her little whisker humps cause she is such a fussy eater.  Or at least, not for a couple days.

(The Mom:
The irony is just sickening!  Moo eats EVERYTHING!  Everything except calming treats, apparently.  Oui Oui refuses to eat just about everything. Everything except calming treats, apparently.  The treats are chicken liver and brewer's yeast favored.  Favors she would never eat in canned food.

Here's a partial list of what Oui Oui won't eat:  Anything with bits, shreds or gravy.  Pate only, please.  Chicken, beef, liver, lamb, ham, turkey, cheese, "white" fish, salmon, tuna, mackerel, trout and sardines.  So what will she eat?  Little Friskies Mariner's Catch and Sea Captain's Choice, Fancy Feast Sole & Shrimp and 9 Lives Seafood Platter.)

Now I am getting a small appetizer before breakfast and bedtime with the treats mixed in.  I eat them separately in my safe room so Oui Oui doesn't eat it.  When Oui Oui tried to steal the bag out of the mom's hands and chew it open right in front of her, the mom decided to see if she could find some less expensive treats with the same taste online for her.

Next: What the mom learned about calming treats while researching treats for Oui Oui.

Oh you poor darling girl! Perhaps what you need is a visit from King Spitty? I will groom your little face and wash your ears and then we'll curl into a little spoony cuddly twosome, and purr and take a tiny nap. I think you will find it very soothing indeed. Okay?

Oui Oui, you are even pickier than I am! The weird part with me is I will like some food one day and not want it the next. I am totally unpredictable, and boy, does it keep my human on her toes.

You are such a picky eater, Oui Oui.

Charlotte only eats kitty food and treats but not human food. Her mom specifically told us not to give her any human food.

Mommy had such a good laugh! We hope the calming treats work and you get your eyebrows back, Moo. :)

Oh No, and I bragged about how they liked the treats. Hope you are eating them now and sure hope they help. We can't wait to hear about the research. Hope it isn't bad news. Sounds like Spitty is on his way MMM to help your eye brows. Take care.

Yeah, the mom has to keep an eye on us too because she doesn't know who ate what. We sure hope those treats help you, Moo. We tried them and they didn't make much of a difference for us, unfortunately.

Okay, Derry gets the Vetri-Science calming treats every day, so our human hopes your mom's research hasn't shown they're toxic or something like that!

Oh, Moo. You are even more tense than Annie I'm sorry to say. Your poor mom! Cats will drive you crazy, that's for sure! And Oui Oui, you've met your finicky match in Annie. Well, I sure hope Moo will eat her calming treats and not have to go the vet again. Looking forward to hearing more about these calming treats.

Your mom sure is special. Finding all those things that you WILL eat. Me hopes everything works out for you.

Mine mommy told me to tell your mommy that her is the most specialist person to help with mine little sisfur. Me sends big kisses for making her a little bit more happy.
Love, TK

Poor Mica Moo! I know how stress can affect a kitty. We had the same problem with Domino over-grooming herself, and we went through a few things before we actually found something that worked.

It is the Feliway diffuser. All the kitties like it and it really calms them down. Dylan doesn't jump Domino any more and Domino is letting her belly furs grow back in.

It's a little expensive, especially to start off with -- but hey, it works!

Thank you for letting me know about the calming treats. I've ordered some. Hope they work on an aggressive cat and his nervous victim.

We eat all sorts of stuff and we're all furry healthy. Maybe you could come stay with us for some spa time? Mind you, Target tries to steal ALL our food! But you could whap him. We're purring you feel better soon.

We understand. We really do! Moosey can be fussy about his food, too. Thank Cod he's doing a pretty god job with what he has now (don't want to jinx things, so we'll just leave it at that). MOL.

We hope the treats in the food work for you, MMM!
