NOMS Day

NOMS Day (Not of Our Species Day) is a special day for us cause we have the bestest NOMS in our family!  We know you have seen our cousins before, but we love showing them off!

Young Neville is the newest member.
He is about 6 months old and lives with big brother Kahn.

Neville and Kahn love to eat!

When they hear The Girl, they come running!

Our other cousins are known as "The Carrots", cause the mom misunderstood The Girl when she was talking about the ferrets.

We Carrots do the funniest things!

Pepe Jack shows off his yoga skills.

While Zena Marie shows her fashion sense.

But over all we are SO cute!

And our tummies are as cute as any kittens!
And 5 times as long.
We think there should be a Carrot Tummy Day!
Have fun seeing all the NOMS!

There is a NOMS celebration going on at the Tabby Cat Club today too, so be sure to visit.

Mangoat Monday

Who is this handsome young mangoat?
Why, it's our newest cousin, Neville!

The Girl with Kahn.

When The Girl moved her goat Kahn to a new barn, he was the only goat and very lonely.  So now he has a new brother!  We don't know a whole lot about Neville yet.  He's about 5 or 6 months old, came from a dairy farm and is very happy to have an older brother.  Kahn head butted him a couple times when they first met but is now used to his little brother.  The mom hopes to meet him soon!  Isn't he cute?

Thankful Thursday

Hi Kitties!  Boy, are we ever glad to be back!

Our first thanks are to all our kitty friends who stopped by and helped us give the mom a welcome home gift she won't forget anytime soon.  The house was truly a disaster and you did us proud!  Great house trashing done by all!

The mom is thankful for a really great trip!  She had a Philly photographer take photos of The Girl for her upcoming college graduation, and the photos have just been posted.  They are awesome and it is going to be very difficult to narrow down to just a couple favorites.  We hope to share some soon.

We can share some new photos of our little cousins!  And our not so little cousin too.

The only way to get a photo of these two rascals is when they are sleeping or just waking up.
Their antics had us in tears and the mom hopes to share a video soon.

As soon as Kahn heard The Girl's voice he started bahing - or is it mahing?
He is loving the sweet spring grass.
Can you see where his winter coat is shedding along his flanks?

While The Girl helped bring the horses in from the fields then feed them and get them in their jammies for the night . . .

The mom was checking out the pampered barn kitties.  This one is Maverick.  What a tail he has!  Evidently he has always carried it over his back.

There were more kitties, all tabbies, in the kitchen  . . .
And even one on the dryer.

Here Bob snoopervises the chickens.

While Maverick baths and airs his belly.
All told, there are 7 or 8 barn kitties.
All are very friendly and well cared for.

The Girl and Maverick.

There's just one bad thing!
The mom says we earned the right to a BABY sitter
when she goes to BlogPaws next week!
WHAT!

Meet our Coz

By now, you have probably met our two little cousins.

 Pepe Jack

and Zena Marie.

You may recall, The Girl took these two young ferrets in when the person who owned them could no longer keep them.

Yup, that is yawn-inducing old news!

But we know you don't know we have ANOTHER cousin
who has been a bit of a secret cause
not even the mom knew about him until earlier this year.
So, meet Kahn!

Kahn was named for Shere Kahn, the tiger in the Jungle Book.

Kahn, front, had a brother, Eddie.
Eddie was named for the giggly hyena in The Lion King.

Sadly, Eddie passed away unexpectedly this past January.

Here is Eddie with his mother, Kandy.

The Girl and Eddie.
She was heartbroken when her Eddie left.

After the boys were born, The Girl found out they were slated to go to the butcher's, so she stepped in and adopted them.  If she was to keep them, she had to get them castrated, so the vet showed her how when he did Eddie and she had the pleasure of performing Kahn's surgery.  She was SO excited!  Guys, you are forewarned!

Now it's just The Girl and Kahn, and since she is out of college, she sees him all the time!

To meet more tabbies and their family members, visit the Tabby Cat Club Tuesday, March 11th!  We know you see our kitty family all the time, so this was the purrfect time to meet our other cousins. Psst . . . we even snuck a pic of the mom in our post there.
