NOMS Day

NOMS Day (Not of Our Species Day) is a special day for us cause we have the bestest NOMS in our family!  We know you have seen our cousins before, but we love showing them off!

Young Neville is the newest member.
He is about 6 months old and lives with big brother Kahn.

Neville and Kahn love to eat!

When they hear The Girl, they come running!

Our other cousins are known as "The Carrots", cause the mom misunderstood The Girl when she was talking about the ferrets.

We Carrots do the funniest things!

Pepe Jack shows off his yoga skills.

While Zena Marie shows her fashion sense.

But over all we are SO cute!

And our tummies are as cute as any kittens!
And 5 times as long.
We think there should be a Carrot Tummy Day!
Have fun seeing all the NOMS!

There is a NOMS celebration going on at the Tabby Cat Club today too, so be sure to visit.

Baby Love

Who could resist an adorable kitten?

The most squee-able event, Baby Love, is happening at the Tabby Cat Club and we just had to pawticipate!  So today we are showing off our baby pictures!

 First up is Oui Oui.

You can see her shaved little belly.
Even at 8 weeks they made sure she wouldn't add to overpopulation.
Either she was a messy eater or she ran through her kibble.

Both she and The Girl were kittens!

Julie and Carl are brother and sister, so of course they were kittens together too.

Julie was just as beautiful then too!

Mica Moo was 4 years old when she came to live with us.

These are the earliest pictures we have of her.
She looked like a young cat because she was underweight,
weighing a little over 7 lbs.
Now she is more like 13.

For more adorable kittens, go visit the Tabby Cat Club!
There's gonna be a whole lot of squeeing going on!

We'd also like to thank everyone for their kind purrs for the mom.  She is still whining and moaning, even with us doing the best we can to help her feel better.  Yesterday she went to the doctor's who told her it could be several more weeks before the swelling has gone away.  Boy did THAT make her moan!

We apologize for not visiting, by the time the mom gets home from work, she is in so much pain she doesn't feel like doing much and certainly couldn't think of snappy comments for everyone.  {{eye roll}}  She is still taking care of the ferals, but that will end next week since the lady she is covering for is out of the hospital.  This Sunday she hopes to trap the kitties who have all their God-given parts.  Thankfully The Girl will be coming home to help because the mom doesn't think she could do it on her own in her present condition.  We hope to have some good photos!

We'll be up to visiting soon.  We hope everyone has been well and having fun. Purrs and thanks to you all!

Mangoat Monday

Who is this handsome young mangoat?
Why, it's our newest cousin, Neville!

The Girl with Kahn.

When The Girl moved her goat Kahn to a new barn, he was the only goat and very lonely.  So now he has a new brother!  We don't know a whole lot about Neville yet.  He's about 5 or 6 months old, came from a dairy farm and is very happy to have an older brother.  Kahn head butted him a couple times when they first met but is now used to his little brother.  The mom hopes to meet him soon!  Isn't he cute?

HMPHF!

Kitties!  I just can't believe it!  Can you believe the mom is going away AGAIN!?  She just came home and this is the third weekend in a month!

I think we need to send her to a re-education class or something.  We kitties are the most important thing in her life and here she is, running away again.

Sadly we will see you again next week, after The Girl graduates from collich.  By the time we post about Blogpaws, it will be time for next year's conference!

So everyone have a great weekend and we hope to see you really soon!  In the meantime I'm going to sit in my tiny bathroom and pout.

Mommy, come home!

Sayonara For Now!

Wednesday the mom heads to Las Vegas for BlogPaws and we kitties thought we'd have another house trashing party since the mom didn't learn her lesson last week, but guess what?

We have a BABY sitter!  What the?!  And guess who the babysitter is?  The Girl!  So, guess what else?  We are having the house trashing party anyway cause she is a push over and likes to sleep late.

I'll be walking around The Girl's head first thing in the morning
instead of the mom's.

Well, we aren't going to let her do that either cause you know we take breakfast seriously, but we should gets lots of trashing done when she's asleep, so kitties, come on over!

Thanks to everyone for the purrs for Julie.  She is still limping and is unsteady on her feet so the mom would feel better knowing what the doctor says before she leaves.  So Julie is going to be stuffed into the PTU to be looked at.  Poor girl!  We'll update if needed, but no news will be good news.  The Girl has years of experience working at the mom's vet and she has very good judgment so the mom feels comfortable leaving us with her.

To all our friends going to BlogPaws, Bon Voyage!  To our friends who are staying home, we wish you could have been there!  And to the home bound kitties, Behave!  NOT!

Meet our Coz

By now, you have probably met our two little cousins.

 Pepe Jack

and Zena Marie.

You may recall, The Girl took these two young ferrets in when the person who owned them could no longer keep them.

Yup, that is yawn-inducing old news!

But we know you don't know we have ANOTHER cousin
who has been a bit of a secret cause
not even the mom knew about him until earlier this year.
So, meet Kahn!

Kahn was named for Shere Kahn, the tiger in the Jungle Book.

Kahn, front, had a brother, Eddie.
Eddie was named for the giggly hyena in The Lion King.

Sadly, Eddie passed away unexpectedly this past January.

Here is Eddie with his mother, Kandy.

The Girl and Eddie.
She was heartbroken when her Eddie left.

After the boys were born, The Girl found out they were slated to go to the butcher's, so she stepped in and adopted them.  If she was to keep them, she had to get them castrated, so the vet showed her how when he did Eddie and she had the pleasure of performing Kahn's surgery.  She was SO excited!  Guys, you are forewarned!

Now it's just The Girl and Kahn, and since she is out of college, she sees him all the time!

To meet more tabbies and their family members, visit the Tabby Cat Club Tuesday, March 11th!  We know you see our kitty family all the time, so this was the purrfect time to meet our other cousins. Psst . . . we even snuck a pic of the mom in our post there.

Flashback Friday

Tocktober Flashbacks

Minnie Pumpkin shows off her tocks while playing with Toby.
What she didn't have in size
she made up for in spunkiness.

Full grown now, but still displaying those tocks.

(And what a belly!)
Kitten Julie - if you are floofy enough
you don't have to worry about modesty.

Lumpy and The Girl.  Watch it!  Those tocks are for looking at only.
Toby and The Girl, a modest showing.
She knows the best places to scratch now.
(Can you make out all Toby's extra toes?
He had 22 in all.)

Happy weekend everyone!
We've made it through another week.
We're purring everyone has a good time
and enjoys their free time.
